トピック: "keitai's location"-based Shindo notification?
Thank you for this application. It is great. I do have one question/suggestion:
Why is there no location-based shindo notification?
For example, if the earthquake is centered in Tohoku and the shindo scale there is a low 6, and the shindo scale in Saitama is a high 5, and the shindo in Yokohama is a low 5, then the shindo scale for Yokohama, if that is where I am, is what would be most useful as the basis for my warning. This information is sent out by the meteorological agency with every earthquake warning, is it not?
And doesn't yurekuru on the iPhone do exactly this?
It doesn't matter to me most what the maximum shindo is at the epicenter; what matters is what the local shindo is. Why is this not the default basis for namazu?
If I could, I would set namazu to give a different alarm for each shindo prediction for my location:
Shindo 4: "Alarm. Four. Shindo yon."
Shindo low 5: "Alarm! Alarm! Five Minus! Shindo Go Minus!"
Shindo high 5: "ALARM! Five Plus!!!"
If the problem is data bandwidth, then perhaps the regions could be simplified. Southeast Kanagawa could be one region for namazu's purpose, for example. Even though the meteorological agency may give more information, simple is useful.
